Increase Creativity By Concocting Your Own Special Rocket Fuel

© By: Dan Goodwin

How would you like to discover a secret that can instantly recharge and rejuvenate you, give you a major burst of energy and set your creativity alight?

Well, all that’s needed is a little bit of chemistry...

Consider this “scientific equation” - “Encouragement = Rocket Fuel”

What does this mean to you? Write down the ideas, images and associations that come to mind.

Now imagine if you had the unlimited sources of encouragement and support you needed to do anything you wanted in your creative life. How would your life be different, what would it look, feel and sound like?

What would happen if, whatever you attempted in your creative life, however you put your creativity to use, and whatever the outcome, people around you praised you with comments like -

“We’re so proud of you!”

“I knew you could do it with your natural talents.”

“I really admire you for having the courage to do that.”

“You’re amazing, you did so well!”

“Your creativity and energy is an inspiration to so many others.”

Suspend any doubts you may have for a moment, and seriously imagine how your life would be different. How would this affect your ability to create more? What impact would it have on your confidence levels? Again write it down all the ways you can think of.

So what is the secret we spoke of earlier? What do you need to put the above scenario into practice?

Well it’s back to the chemistry, and time to concoct your own formula.

What are the key ingredients for your own rocket fuel of encouragement, the fuel that will give you that creative energy, flow and motivation?

Think about the ways you support and encourage the people that are important to you. Who do you know that’s creative, and how do you support them in living their life in a creative way? What are the fundamental elements?

How can you incorporate this kind of encouragement into the way you think about and perceive yourself? How can you encourage and support yourself with the same passion and commitment you give to others?

Is your secret formula starting to becoming clearer?

Think also about who around you is a strong source of support and encouragement. How can you learn from them and give the same back to them and to others?

Remember one of the most motivating and inspiring feelings is seeing the success of others and knowing you played some part in helping them achieve it. By helping others in this way you’re adding to your own good feeling also.

Make the commitment right now to finding the secret formula for your own rocket fuel and to being as supportive and encouraging to yourself as you possibly can. Treat yourself as well as you’d treat your best friend in the world.

Also make the effort as often as possible to be as encouraging to those around you, and all those that you come into contact with in your life.

Notice the difference this rocket fuel makes in your creative life, and keep mixing and experimenting, adding little extras here and there. When you get the encouragement formula right, for yourself and for others, the effects can be quite amazing.
